Whats got you into tattoos?
Rebelliousness at first and then fell in love... The fact that its a different form of artistic self impression and more the fact that its stays with you for life, which means you have to be very confident in what you tattoo on yourself. Personal meaning.
What do your family think of your tattoos?
Well, all the tattoos are about my family! Being British Pakistani and growing up within the culture it is not heard of and definitely not encouraged. But I am what I am and as a result, I dont give a shit. You accept me for the person not the body.
What advice would you give when it comes to tattoos?
When it comes to tattoos, there is only one thing... GET SOMETHING MEANINGFUL TO YOU!!! What are you going to get done next? I have got a small part of my sleeve to finish and then we shall start to cover the entire top third of my back, then moving onto my thigh...
''Being British Pakistani and growing up within the culture it is not heard of and definitely not encouraged. But I am what I am and as a result, I don't give a shit''
What is the best tattoo that you have seen in your life?
My own of course! If it wasn't the best I wouldn't get it done, How do you deal with the pain? Firm it. Close my eyes and ears and go above the pain but my tattooist can CHAT so that's not always possible loool Failing that, his wife's homemade cake and tea works a treat.
What do you think of Paperchasers Ink?
I think its something that will readily make its name within the urban culture as lots of kids growing up, emulate what the elders do and Paperchasers Ink will be be in the center of all of that, getting bigger and receiving more recognition. There isn't anything like it within the UK (as far as I have seen) and long may it continue!!!
